This map displays the AIDS rates for each zip code in Montgomery County. The darker shades of red represent the highest AIDS rates, which are found primarily in the center of the county representing parts of Gaithersburg and Germantown, the upper left hand area of Barnesville, and most of Silver Spring to the lower right hand area. Areas such as Barnesville have been disregarded due to the low incidence among a small population. The Silver Spring area, however, borders the district line and may in fact have similar rates as in the Nation’s Capital.
