This map demonstrates the percentage of unmarried households with partners. The US Census defines a household as all the occupants living in one housing unit. As shown by the map, the highest percentages of unmarried partners in the same household seem closest to some of the more urban areas, especially around Silver Spring. When compared to the AIDS Rate map, there are comparable areas which lead to the positive correlation between these two variables.
