While the correlation between AIDS Rate and Male householder with male partners proved to be insignificant, there was a significant correlation between the Male householder and a female partner. This again may be attributed to a homeowner on the “down low” who has sex with men but whose main partner is a woman. These individuals do not always consider themselves gay and also do not always inform their main partner of the actual situation.
The scatterplot demonstrating AIDS Rate vs % Unmarried Household Partners indicates a positive correlation. This may result from multiple partners from previous or even concurrent relationships which may foster HIV or AIDS. As the shows, there are very few unmarried household partners in 20854, most likely because of the location in the suburbs where more families reside and because of the high property values in the area.
