National Volcano Early Warning System (NVEWS)

The United States Geological Survey Volcano Hazards Program devised a systematic method to assess hazard and exposure factors of volcanoes called the National Volcano Early Warning System, or NVEWS.  While intended for volcanoes within the United States, the NVEWS system can be applied to other volcanoes.  Here is my personal NVEWS assessment of the risks posed by Ol Doinyo Lengai:

The Relative Threat Ranking of Ol Doinyo Lengai is a 102.3.  According to the NVEWS rating system, Ol Doinyo Lengai falls between 64 and 113 points, quantifying it as a High Risk volcano.  This rating is the second highest hazard rating.
