calculated the citizen status of the Orange County population. I thought
foreign born, naturalized citizens, and non American citizens would all be
sufficient indicators. Surprisingly, I only found naturalized citizens to
correlate with a +0.3471, which means it has a p-value from 0.10 to 0.05. A
naturalized citizen is a foreign-born person who identifies themselves as being
naturalized. Naturalization is the conferring, by any means of citizenship upon
a person after birth. The zip-codes with the largest naturalized population are
Pine Island and Cuddebackville. Pine Island is home of Orange County’s
acclaimed black dirt region, which is a pre-dominantly agricultural
setting. The black dirt is known for its plentiful vegetable
resources. The black dirt is also home to many immigrants from
Poland and South America. Generations among generations the polish
have settled and farmed this land. Today, a new set of population,
migrant workers, are working this land
