I reside in New Hampton, New York, which is a very small town in Orange County. I live about an hour away from New York City.  It’s most commonly known as the Mid Hudson Valley Region.  I went to a public high school in Goshen, NY, which is about five miles away from New Hampton. The questions were the following:  How many cumulative AIDS cases have been reported for zip code 10958?  How many cumulative AIDS cases have been reported for Orange County?  What percent of the cases for Orange County were female?  I guessed considerably high for all three of these questions.  Why did I guess so high?  “AIDS Perspectives” is designed to exhibit my perceptions and misconceptions of AIDS before this class.
