Race

        It was a natural reaction to start looking for correlations among racial backgrounds.

Along with the abundance of media coverage, past experience pointed towards minorities

correlating with AIDS. There was nothing surprising about the fact that both Hispanics

(r = 0.275841118, r = 0.247956455) and to a lesser extent blacks (r = 0.607576951,

r = 0.4973025) correlated positively with AIDS. Whites (r = -0.668906293, r = -0.543263899)

expectedly correlated negatively with the disease. A similar trend applied when the races were

correlated with HIV. However, one difference was that all of the HIV correlations were higher

in magnitude than those of AIDS. Such a trend is not good news because it implies that among

all racial groups, HIV is still spreading as fast if not faster than ever.
