Introduction
Research from Paper 1 proved that Manhattan is divided in HIV/AIDS transmission. Downtown infections are largely in part due to MSM, however uptown has a very high IDU transmission rate. Focusing on uptown areas (zip codes 10025, 10026, 10027, 10029, 10030, 10031, 10032, 10033, 10034, 10035, 10037, and 10040) research was divided into three racial groups, Black, White, and Hispanic, for many correlations and comparisons. These zip codes include Central Harlem, East Harlem, Spanish Harlem, and Washington Heights among others. These poorer neighborhoods are home to many immigrants.
