Roy Chapman Andrews, Curator at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, became a
world-famous explorer while leader of the five Central Asiatic Expeditions to the Gobi
between 1916-1930. He is the basis for the "Indiana Jones" character player by Harrison Ford
in several Hollywood movies.
