Final Thoughts
Although AIDS is not a huge problem in my hometown, it is still interesting to analyze the way it is treated in the community, especially in comparison to other communities around the United States. I never realized how open our community was in talking about the HIV/AIDS problem compared to other communities, but still it is not enough. There are still major disparities among who gets this disease, and it is unfortunately mostly due to education and socio-economic status. We can fix this, but only by starting at the very bottom and working our way up.
