As established by the data revealed in “First Impressions,” AIDS is not only present, but is a problem in Somerset County, New Jersey.  It is now important to uncover exactly what aspects of Somerset County put its residents at risk to contract AIDS.  To do so, one must analyze the relationship between the AIDS rates of county subdivisions and a variety of demographics.  In order to get more accurate correlations, it is necessary to expand the area of study to the towns of Elizabeth, Plainfield, Union and New Brunswick.  The correlation coefficient needed for a significant relationship at p<.05 is .707 and at p<.01 .621 is needed. Ultimately, the focus of one’s calculations should be on the relationships associated with race, income, education and household characteristics.
