Putting it Together
CLEARLY D.C. has a problem and CLEARLY I didn’t know how bad it actually was. Even though I studied AIDS in D.C. enough to realize that we have the worst AIDS rate in the U.S. I still have questions…. If D.C. has the worst AIDS rate but also is one of the most powerful areas in the world, why haven’t we done anything drastic to stop the spreading of AIDS? How can we let this happen? And why does it seem as though no one cares enough to teach students that there is a huge problem and that we must deal with it now? It is affecting my generation the most and no one seems to want to inform us of how important it is.
