Study Game

This course deals with the principles and concepts fundamental to understanding the physical, chemical, crystallographic and structural properties of minerals. The laboratory introduces techniques, including optical and x-ray, that aid in defining these characteristic properties. Familiarization with minerals of common occurrence, and hence of greatest importance in the understanding of Earth processes, is emphasized in the laboratories. Four lectures and one laboratory per week.
