Toxic Substances

This page focuses on legislation that pertains to toxic chemicals, which have an effect on soil and groundwater. Strangely enough, there is little legislative action that aims to prevent these types of contamination. It is especially strange because the means by which the soil and groundwater is contaminated is so diverse and the damage done is so extensive. The focus of the bills I chose to review range from pesticide and industrial waste control to bills that seek to weaken environmental regulations. It is important to note that not all of these bills are beneficial to the environment and should be considered on a bill by bill basis.
