Cleveland is visibly affected by AIDS and HIV/AIDS. These rates correlate to a number of other attributes in the Cleveland area categorized by race, socioeconomic status, family structure, and education. It is important to understand that reasoning derived from the correlations cannot be definitely defined, that is there are several factors not considered which might also contribute to the correlations described in the study. The study does not imply causations; the rates and percentages were not proven to cause each other. The neighborhoods each encompass many different characteristics, some of which had a significant impact on the study, especially the outlier neighborhood of Edgewater. Overall, the importance of studying correlations, especially in the medical community, helps to asses what areas are in greater need of assistance and what course of action should be taken next.
